Bedford resident Robert Schuster was transported to Westchester Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries after his 2018 BMW 750I collided with Pound Ridge resident Diego Trejo’s 2004 Acura TSX.

The crash happened at approximately 9:20 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 16 on South Bedford Road in Bedford. Trejo was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash

The Bedford Police Department’s Detective Division and Accident Investigation Team are currently working with the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office as the investigation into the fatal crash continues, Bedford Police Chief Melvin Padilla said.

Padilla noted that as of Thursday, Dec. 19, no charges have been filed, and the “extensive investigation is still in its early stages.” He said detectives are actively interviewing witnesses and continuing to collect evidence.

More information is expected to be released as the investigation continues. Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the crash has been asked to contact the Bedford Police Department Detective Division by calling (914) 241-3111.
